What Employers Look For…
The energy industry is asking for candidates that have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot with complex equipment. Most technicians in the industry must be able to work a variety of hours with extensive overtime including holidays and weekends. Technicians must also work in confined or elevated spaces, and be able to keep up with the physical demand of the position. To be selected for a position, candidates may have to pass psychological tests, complete thorough background checks, pass drug tests and take a written knowledge exam.
MIAT programs are developed collaboratively with employers, so you get the exact skills and training they look for in potential hires. You’ll feel confident moving into any industry setting after gaining so much practical, real world training before you graduate.
