Pick a Program and a Campus
The first step in getting started with MIAT is to learn more about our programs and campus locations – then decide which one is right for you. Our Canton, Michigan Campus offers programs in Aviation Technology, Energy Technology, Renewable Energy (Wind Power), Global Logistics & Dispatch, and HVACR. Our Houston, Texas Campus offers programs in Aviation Technology, Energy Technology, Renewable Energy (Wind Power), and HVACR. Explore our Program Description pages and learn which program is right for you.
Complete an Inquiry Form
Once you know which program you would like to pursue and where you wish to attend classes, you need to complete an inquiry form or contact the admissions office of your campus of choice. Complete the form on this page to start the process.
Schedule an Interest & Motivation Assessment
Once you contact MIAT, an Admissions Representative will get in touch with you. Admissions Representatives will provide general information about MIAT and based on this discussion will determine if you should be scheduled for a Student Interest and Motivation Assessment (SIMA). During the SIMA, Admissions Representatives will explain admissions requirements, review program information, career opportunities, employment assistance, educational costs and conduct a tour of the facilities. In the event a SIMA is conducted offsite, a tour of the facilities is required prior to starting training. All students who seek admission to MIAT must complete a SIMA.
Schedule a Tour
MIAT believes that you should only make the decision to attend after you have had the opportunity to see our facilities for yourself. In the event that your SIMA is completed off campus, we require that you schedule a tour of your campus of choice before you can begin training.
Complete Your Application
After meeting with an Admissions Representative, prospective students interested in applying to MIAT must complete an Application for Consideration and any additional required documentation to begin the application process as well as submit a $25 application fee.
